Jewish music will find its place within the diversity of the 21st Century.

This debut CD by the theatrical and virtuosic new Israeli group Trio Carpion introduces lush and evocative songs about love, jealousy, humor, beauty, scandal, crime and' of course, booze.
Sung primarily in Yiddish, At the Black Sea also features songs in Romanian, Greek, Azeri, and Hebrew. The Turkish oud, as well as other non-traditional instruments, create a magical and nostalgic quality to this recording. Rooted in the great Ashkenazi tradition of Eastern European klezmer and Yiddish folk and art songs, Trio Carpion features three leading musicians from Israel.
